[Heart's awakening in Luceti happened sometime around noon today. She woke up behind on of the buildings near the square, and upon awakening the relatively tall robot girl found herself rather... perplexed. For one, she distinctly recalled being told they were going to deactivate her and she clearly was not deactivated if she felt responsive now. For two, there was something off with her outer frame; it had been changed. Two extra appendages on her back...

Hmm.

Either way, the change in her clothing or setting didn't alarm her that much. While this certainly was not the Mansion, nor the facility where he earliest tests have been done, she was used to being awoken after a shut down in strange places by now. This white sundress was even a little cute. Thus, with a slight smile on her face, she began her observation of the square, curious about it.

When she noticed that everyone else here also had these strange appendages on their backs - wings - she was confused at first, but then eventually concluded the simplest answer: humanity must have changed since she was last shut down. Thus, as she sat down on a bench in the square, she began to go through the motions - though she had no control over it, it was merely her systems compensating for this new observation as well as her own physical changes - to rewrite her internal definition of human to include the wings.

Give her a good half hour to do that and she's back on her feet! This girl would have been completely unresponsive during that half hour, so maybe you saw her then. Maybe you saw her now! Point is, she's snooping around the square but not talking to anyone while in a new feather outfit. Plus, well, she can't talk to anyone until spoken too. Please do feel free to run into her.]

[Also if you didn't read it yet, reading this my aid to you understanding of interacting with her.]

Sorry, sorry. I don't mean to be vaguely! [...] It was a privately owned island, so it didn't really belong to any country. [That's not said defensively, but it is hesitantly, because she's not sure if that's the answer that Buffy's looking for]

Didn't it have a name? Privately owned or not, islands should be named. Otherwise it's kinda confusing and probably not even legal, I bet.

[Some casual curiousity to match the hesitation.]

[action]

[identity profile] sixwayheart.livejournal.com 2010-04-12 05:41 am (UTC)(link)
Well, we just called it the Wonderland sometimes, but that wasn't the official name. [She laughs a little at that, remembering her time at the Mansion somewhat fondly.] See, it was owned by the Total Heart Corporation, and their logo has a big red heart in it. It's a nod to the Queen of Hearts, you know?

[And that seems to be mostly sensible. Quirky, but not too unbelievable.] I get it. You didn't have to have tea with crazy people, did you? Because I totally would have drawn the line and moved.

[action]

[identity profile] sixwayheart.livejournal.com 2010-04-13 06:33 am (UTC)(link)
No one really liked tea much there, but I had coffee a few times. [A pause before-] Well no, I guess there was iced tea, but that's more like a soda than a real cuppa, don't you think?

Definitely. Ice tea? Delicious summertime drink enjoyed by all. Real tea? Mostly kinda awkward tasting and really only enjoyed by old men in tweet suits.

[action]

[identity profile] sixwayheart.livejournal.com 2010-04-14 12:22 am (UTC)(link)
Bingo. [They're probably most of the way behind the building by now pace and conversation wise. So at this point Heart begins to look around the ground for the book...] Real tea's a little bit of a stuffy drink, I think. I'm not sure out the tweed, but the old man image is a definite fit.

[Buffy also searches in earnest, sliding a shoe'd foot over the ground just in case her eyes miss anything important.]

Was the island nice, at least? Beyond the iced tea, I mean. I'm talking sun, sand, sea--the whole she-bang?

[action]

[identity profile] sixwayheart.livejournal.com 2010-04-14 03:58 am (UTC)(link)
Well, sun and surf, not as much sand. A little stand, but we hung out pretty inland most of the time so there's more trees and greenery and that sort of thing, you know? [...Oh, there it is. She reaches down and simply picks it up. Right where her memory recorded it out to be based on the visual records. And then she holds it out for Buffy] Is this what we're looking for, sarge?

[Oh, she does like that nickname and so beams a little upon its reception.]

That'd be the one. Your link to the rest of Luceti. Do you--ah--need some help with how it works?

[action]

[identity profile] sixwayheart.livejournal.com 2010-04-15 01:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I think I have the best idea, but if you got any tips for a new feather than I'm more than all ears.

[From her flipping through it earlier, that is]
herotypical: (stance >> explaining but with hands)

[action]

[personal profile] herotypical 2010-04-15 02:15 pm (UTC)(link)
Besides the monthly events and the shiny new war? Hmm. [Buffy drops her flip attitude for a moment, considering the girl.]

People...come and go, when you least expect it. Keep yourself prepared for that and you should do just fine.

[Projecting.]

[action]

[identity profile] sixwayheart.livejournal.com 2010-04-15 08:08 pm (UTC)(link)
That sounds- [Um.] rough. [That's the right word, right? Yeah... it seems like it. She sighs and then nods] Don't think I know how you'd prepare for something like that, but I hear you.
herotypical: (snark >> giles gives me a cookie)

[action]

[personal profile] herotypical 2010-04-15 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Some folks'd say you prepare by not getting close. [She exhales, shaking her head.] But that doesn't exactly feel right, y'know?

[action]

[identity profile] sixwayheart.livejournal.com 2010-04-16 12:37 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I don't think so either. Better to have loved then lost and all that, y'know?
herotypical: (snark >> took a small step and conclusio)

[action]

[personal profile] herotypical 2010-04-16 12:43 am (UTC)(link)
Exactly. [So after a second of hesitation, she smiles.] So, clothes and journal--what's left? Food, maybe? Hungry?

[action]

[identity profile] sixwayheart.livejournal.com 2010-04-16 01:34 am (UTC)(link)

Seventh Heaven it is, then. Coffee and a...what? Slice of cake? Bagel? Who knows.

[Walking once again.]

[action]

[identity profile] sixwayheart.livejournal.com 2010-04-16 04:10 pm (UTC)(link)
I'll take cake over a bagel any day, but I wouldn't want to put too much stress on you Buff. [A pause and then - she can't help it, Buffy is just so much shorter than her-] But you might wanna watch the coffee, I hear caffeine can stunt growth.

[Teasing-]
herotypical: (snark >> vague that up for me)

[action]

[personal profile] herotypical 2010-04-17 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
[Epic pout action, right here.] Hey. Watch it, or I'll doom you to eternal bageldom and then we'll see who's laughing.

[But it gives away to a smile and Buffy nods, contented.] Cake sounds like the bestest of best ideas, right now. So cake it is.

[action]

[identity profile] sixwayheart.livejournal.com 2010-04-17 02:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Awesome. I'll even give you one of my three secrets to good growth as repayment. [She giggles and then shrugs before putting on a mock-apologetic tone:] But no, no. You look cuter this way, Buff. You're fun sized, you know?
herotypical: (snark >> you think i don't watch your mo)

[action]

[personal profile] herotypical 2010-04-18 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
[She'll see your mock-apology and raise you one mock-indignation.]

Hey, now. Be gentle with the feelings, killer. Us vertically challenged folk can be pretty sensitive. After all, the--wait. Three? There's a whole three secrets to good growth?

[action]

[identity profile] sixwayheart.livejournal.com 2010-04-19 02:21 am (UTC)(link)
Two or three but one of them might be a lie. And some of them are really well-kept, I only know one of them myself.

Hmm. [And then mock-serious consideration before she holds up one finger-] Well first, probably an oath of loyalty to someone, right? That's how these sorts of things usually go down.
