[Action]

[Heart's awakening in Luceti happened sometime around noon today. She woke up behind on of the buildings near the square, and upon awakening the relatively tall robot girl found herself rather... perplexed. For one, she distinctly recalled being told they were going to deactivate her and she clearly was not deactivated if she felt responsive now. For two, there was something off with her outer frame; it had been changed. Two extra appendages on her back...

Hmm.

Either way, the change in her clothing or setting didn't alarm her that much. While this certainly was not the Mansion, nor the facility where he earliest tests have been done, she was used to being awoken after a shut down in strange places by now. This white sundress was even a little cute. Thus, with a slight smile on her face, she began her observation of the square, curious about it.

When she noticed that everyone else here also had these strange appendages on their backs - wings - she was confused at first, but then eventually concluded the simplest answer: humanity must have changed since she was last shut down. Thus, as she sat down on a bench in the square, she began to go through the motions - though she had no control over it, it was merely her systems compensating for this new observation as well as her own physical changes - to rewrite her internal definition of human to include the wings.

Give her a good half hour to do that and she's back on her feet! This girl would have been completely unresponsive during that half hour, so maybe you saw her then. Maybe you saw her now! Point is, she's snooping around the square but not talking to anyone while in a new feather outfit. Plus, well, she can't talk to anyone until spoken too. Please do feel free to run into her.]

[Also if you didn't read it yet, reading this my aid to you understanding of interacting with her.]

[As for Heart, she aims for a few cuter tops, some skirts, pants... the works of a buddding new wardrobe, you know? After all, all she's got to her name right now is this sundress...] Well, if that's the case? You tell me if you see him and I'll come running. [A light waveat Buffy and a smirk later-] For now I guess I'll content myself with asking birds how they know to fly south.

[Her attention perks up with a smile.] Huh. I've wondered about that, too. I mean...it's not like they've got some kind of mystical GPS thing strapped to their beaks. [She rambles, good-naturedly.]

Hey! That's smokin'. [Buffy abandons the few items she was looking at to point out one of the tops Heart had in her hands.] You should definitely try that on. I bet it'd look fantabulous under...[she turns, reaching for a light spring jacket.] This.

[~~My lack of fashion sense is showing~~ And Heart when having that pointed out considers it. Hmm.. It might look good, yeah, but then she needs to pick an appropriate garb for her lower half, and none of what she has right now seems to match up with with this duet. Even so, she takes the jacket] Smokin', huh? Well, I can't exactly go and deny a request like that.

[She considers a bit more and... okay, there's a decent set of jeans that look about her size, that'll do for now.] Well, excuse me a minute, we can check the results together when I'm done~ I'm a bit eager to get out of this. [Pulling on the edges of the sundress...

Before retreating off to a changing room]

It's totally one of those undeniable requests, right? [Buffy smiles, though there is a little bit of stammering involved with the girl's behaviour. Forwardness was always appreciated, but even Buffy had to quirk a brow at that one.]

If it doesn't work--but I know it will--I'll scope out another option. Just in case.

Might as well be an order! [She laughs at her own joke briefly as she enters a changing room. Give her a minute... good... and then she's out!

Once she's out she waves over to Buffy to get her attention-] Hey Buff, is this up to snuff for you? [And then cue... cliche super-model pose! Which actually sort of works for her, what with being tall with an all-around thin figure. The long red hair helps too. But really she's playing around]

[There is some applause from the Slayer. Oodles of approval.]

See? I said you'd rock it. The first lesson of Luceti is to never question my fashion advice. [She continues with an indulgent smile.]

Yes ma'am~ [Complete with a mock-solute as she waltzes on back over towards Buffy, strutting her stuff and all that. But once she's back there she laughs a little at her own expense]

I don't know if I would have picked one out this nice after all. Glad to know someone's looking out for me. [And that one comes with an appreciative head-cock thing]

[Because the girl is sweet and kinda flighty (in an endearing way), Buffy straightens out her expression for a moment.]

Look, Heart? This place isn't a walk in the park. [The recent murders sit heavily upon her mind.] So that whole looking out thing? Consider it official. If you need anything? Just shout. Preferably in the direction of a journal, so I'll actually hear. [This ends in a slow smile; after all, Buffy's main identity was one of a protector. Although it sounded rather sentimental and specific in the moment, it was the kind of service she wishes she could be more active in providing to everyone.]

But--journals. Someone's explained those to you, right?

[...Blink. One blink and then her smile gets even broader and she giggles. This situation to any normal person would look silly - after all Buffy's shorter than her and petite build wise and whatever to boot! - but Heart is taking it, well, to "heart" and seriously and all that, so she nods] Got it, Buff. You'll be my on personal guardian angel. [That's not even sarcastic... well, not really.]

[After a pause though, she shakes her head] But by the journal you mean that book which was next to me when I woke up? Can't say I know much about it, but I think it's like a small computer, right? [Note: it's not on her person now]

[The word angel gives her pause. But only briefly and she is quick to move past with a confident nod and is about to launch into a speech about how of course she'll be there, but:]

Yeah. That one. Kind of like an enchanted version of a computer, at least. [Buffy looks Heart over once more.] Stow it away, somewhere?

Actually, I just forgot to take it with me when I started to walk around. [Well, more like she didn't see the need, but that's another matter. She cocks her head to the side and frowns a little] oops?

Not a problem. Mission, the first? Recover your journal. Easy peasy.

[She claps her hands together.] We should probably try and retrace your steps.

It's that important...? [She claps her hands together as well at that and then shrugs] Well then, I'm all for that.

Consider it your social life-line, in this place. Like a telephone. Oh--or a lunch table.

[The analogy seems to make perfect sense to her, and so she rushes to the door. Opening it, she considers the village centre.] Do you remember where you last had it? [She calls over her shoulder.]

[...Well then! She smiles a bit more broadly and does her best race on after Buffy.] Social life-line, huh? In that case, it's pretty vital for me to remember, isn't it? [She considers for all of a second and-] Behind one of the building in the square.

Right. Great place to start, except--which building?

[She turns fully back towards Heart, the door still open.]

[Comparing visual records to what she sees in the square now... Okay... it's...

She points to the Seventh Heaven] I think it was that one.

Right. Then we've got a goal and a direction. Not bad, for a rookie.

[With a smile, she steps out the door.]

[Following ~~like a puppy with a bright smile on her face as a result of the praise. She even giggles a bit]~~ Yes sarge! Glad to hear that I lived up to your expectations.

See? That's the kind of attitude I like to see, around here. [She spares a smile before shifting to business. A missing journal is just the kind of thing she can solve. But she doesn't get so gung-ho as to leave her protege in the dust.]

So, Heart. Where're you from? [Because they were all from somewhere.]

[Oh, she's keeping pace pretty well. Anyway, at that, she needs to think. She goes over the records of the company that produced her - or at least how much of it she knows in her head - but... okay she doesn't know that. Okay-] I was in a private residence. [...] I was on Earth, if that counts.

Wow, huh. You just went from vaguely specific to specifically vague all in the span of two sentences. [She looks oddly impressed.] I kinda pinned you for an Earth girl with all the sensible fashion and highly amusing pop culture cereal references. But what country? [She has learned that asking this is important. =|]

Sorry, sorry. I don't mean to be vaguely! [...] It was a privately owned island, so it didn't really belong to any country. [That's not said defensively, but it is hesitantly, because she's not sure if that's the answer that Buffy's looking for]

Didn't it have a name? Privately owned or not, islands should be named. Otherwise it's kinda confusing and probably not even legal, I bet.
