[When Heart isn't busy doing other things such as stalking doting on Lilly or breaking into Red's house or whatever, he preferred hang-out spot has become Kat's Kradle, mostly so that she can oogle be around the very handsome... manager. She's too shy to actually strike up conversation, of course. But... Um. She should do something to repay how often she comes here, right?

Like right now, she's sitting in here with coffee but looking otherwise awkward. Ever since she came here with Kiyo, that is. ...Um. Thinking about Kiyo gives her some of mode 4's balls, and thus she opens her journal and pens in the following:]

Does anyone know a gift which is appropriate good pre- thank you gift for a hand- nic- helpful olde- gentleman?

[She sighs. That was hard. She looks at her coffee after she finishes writing that, somewhat flustered in spite of herself. Anyone is free to respond to that or run into her in KK, of course. Users or non-users. There is a chance you might end up on someone else's file though I want more people like that sob]

Nice guys are..[there's a pause while she tries to figure out the best word, tapping the pen on the paper]..nice. They're nice. And nice is good. You don't want to let a nice guy out of your grasp.

Yeah, I learned that much back in home? the masi- Wonderland. I mean dime or dozen for guys, but the nice ones which are nice [Is that sarcasm at Buffy's words? Hard to call] are a bit rare sometimes.

Yeah. Most guys turn out to be bad apples. Most--so you gotta keep the good ones close...because if you let them leave? They'll go off to some exotic place, fall in love with someone else, and when you see them again they'll be happily married and so over you. [There's a scribble here. Like she definitely shouldn't have gotten so word-happy.]

Maybe the bad apples are better. At least with them? They can't disappoint you if you have no expectations to begin with.

[She filters this. Or tries to. She memorized a fairly strong one, but it's probably not God Tier or anything. She might as well-] Why I have options different personalities. Be anything that people want me to be, you know? Things like that.

[...] And I'm sorr- sad to- sorry to hear about that married guy thing.

[She's...struck by the filter. That kind of consideration and planning. The need to keep something secret? It's incredibly human.]

Don't sweat it. Me and him were never going to work, anyway. That's what--[Spike said. Buffy draws a hard line, deciding not to finish writing that sentence.

Then, on a new line:]
You have different personalities?

[Written // Filtered]

[identity profile] sixwayheart.livejournal.com 2010-05-04 08:00 pm (UTC)(link)
[To be fair, it's mostly the influence of the shy mode 2. That and consideration for the fact it seems like Buffy spoke - well wrote - more than she had thought she ought to in relation to the married guy. But Heart pens in quickly-]

If you say so~ I wouldn't want you to broad the brooding train on me over some guy that blindsided you that quickly, Buff. [But she trails off her, she taps the paper a few times before-]

Yeah, six of them.

We were together for two ye a year and a half. I don't know if you'd call that quick. [Somehow--in Buffy's warped and twisted understanding of things--secrets seem less horrible to divulge to a robot.]

[The great thing about written conversations is that you can hold two at once, on different lines:] Which personality is this?

[identity profile] sixwayheart.livejournal.com 2010-05-06 03:59 am (UTC)(link)
[There's a pause before... back in the playful script-] I don't know. There's six modes that people can select, but I just run the protocols for them, I don't personally know the definition of all of them.

[It's not her fault--or, at least, this is what Buffy insists upon telling herself. Like April, or the Buffybot, Heart is a victim of the twisted people who created her. This is how she wants to view the situation. It's how she copes with actually kinda having friendly feelings about a robot.]

How many people have selected modes?

[Written // Filtered]

[identity profile] sixwayheart.livejournal.com 2010-05-07 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
Only you, of course [That's written with the same more mechanical note as before... but then there's a distinct pause before Heart processes. Her programming isn't meant to accept this but she knows cognitively that there are more people on file: he hard-drive is much larger than it was designed to be in the specs she has in her "brain"... thus in the more cheery writing-] Wait, no~ No, that's not right, sorry. Currently, there are eighteen on file. Afraid I can't say who or what though, that would be spoilers, you know? ♥

Do any of the rest know?

[She scribbles out that question and sits back, staring hard at the journal. It isn't fair. It keeps not being fair. Even as she writes the cool, unemotional questions in an officious script, Buffy knows that she isn't giving Heart due care. She had seemed so vibrant on the day they first met--by comparison, April and (especially) the Buffybot were so obviously robots. They way they spoke and acted. Whoever had made Heart had put a great deal more effort into it. It helps that they probably were not college age evil delinquents.

It takes her a moment, but she gently tacks on in a softer hand:]
I think I don't mind, Heart--or, I think I can be okay with it.

[identity profile] sixwayheart.livejournal.com 2010-05-07 08:20 pm (UTC)(link)
[Heart, however, as a photographic memory. No, they aren't. But she also doesn't see a problem with it. After all, she just is what she is, right? She smiles a bit when Buff says that-] Well I sure hoped that was going to be the case, Sarge. I was looking forward to some more lessons courtesy of my pal Buffy and I wouldn't have wanted some smell to get in the way of things. Guess I might need to invest in some blood packets next time.

The lack of real blood was probably a good thing, in that instance. Spike'd find you less tasty. And that is definitely of the good.

[The return of the Sarge nickname warms her back up to the conversation. Buffy decides she is going to give the girl the benefit of the doubt.] You should pop into Good Spirits sometime, on a quiet night. It'd be nice to talk about this.

Nothing special, really. Nothing like what you see in movies and such, I'm afraid. No chainsaws in these arms.
