Anon on, IP logging off, and stuff.

Tell me what you think of how I play this character and give me suggestions and all that if you see fit. Naturally, as she's an OC this is less of crit post and more of a "hey this might be a good idea" post. If you want to hit up her post for information on her character then please see HERE.

This post here is for personal conversations which should happen but one or both of us doesn't want to put up a new post/log and thus we will just thread it out here. This can be used to thread with Heart anytime and anywhere. This can either be in person (with action), or via the journal's call feature (voice and/or written).

What this means:
In a nutshell what this means is the following:

1) Upon meeting someone Heart will quickly determine if the person is fit to be a user - this means that they look roughly human enough to pass. If you character has some thing which makes them obviously inhuman which isn't obvious from the icons (like idk, they're a centaur and it's an upper body shot) I'd appreciate that being clear. We can work this out case by case though.
2) Next, Heart will ask them their age, because you have to be older than eighteen to be a user. Your characters can lie about this. Heart is not actually programmed to question a lie about age to any great extent. But if they are younger they won't be valid. If they aren't valid then she'll ask if they are associated with one of her actual users.
3) You will then get to go through her protocol thing to determine if you're a user. Once you get the option of the personalities I am giving you free reign to pick the one you want out of her except for personality option six. Please PM/IM/whatever me for permission if you want to use six because it runs a a risk of being potentially harmful to other people and/or your character.

[ Heart (or Elizabeth or Ariel or Ginger depending on who you ask) lived a simple life here in Luceti. She still lived at the Welcome Center, making due in the beds there at night and then going out her day outside of it thereafter. She didn't eat (unless the social situation called for it) or drink... or really, do much of anything other than sit around, most days. Wait for someone to approach her or approach someone who was already her user. It's true that if she was actively in one of her other modes she had other interests though, so if her "mind" wandered it was possible -- but she was a robot. Associative memory was programmed into her, but not terribly effectively.

But then, nothing she experienced in Luceti Valley was programmed into her either, and trapped without her own head, she had taken to thinking about (or well, more accurately, replaying) those memories a lot and ... not quite pondering, but acknowledging the inherently contradictory emotions she felt during it which were literally impossible for her now.

Which is probably why he day today is a little more varied. For one, the young woman robot walks all the way down the South Lake, here the Aylum used to be based on her memories - by comparing it to the geography leading up to it, she stands right at where the front entrance would have been, silent for a long moment.

And then finally, unless interrupted, walks right back to town. She intends to go back to her watching, but rejects that, instead going into the grocery to look for anything resembling a TV dinner and then staring at it for some time. She never picked them up though unless prompted, and then moves on to the next stop, the Library. Unmoded, she doesn't have even simulated intellectual curiosity enough to pick up a book and read it, so instead she just sets out the memorize the layout of the whole place and get a look at the titles on every spine. Which will take the whole rest of her day until she goes back to the Welcome Center for the night.

Just a day in the life. Run into her at any of these moments or along the way to any]

[Later in the day though, after getting the introduction to Luceti in whatever manner it happened up there, Heart is aware of the situation! Aware, but not really caring right now, or all that curious. See, situations aren't something which interest the woman all that, people are. And it's perhaps for this reason there is a woman who is now in a different set of clothes than the New Feather dress (though probably nothing too flashy) sitting alone in the main square. But she's also observing people, following their movements with her eyes. She's not programmed to approach, but something in the moment's demeanor implies that she would like other people to approach her.

If nothing else, the fact she'll be sitting there until well after sundown unless people do and get her out of there is probably a thing. Once it becomes too late for her to reasonably expect anyone to be out though, she heads to the Welcome Center to take up one of the beds there for her rest. Encounter her and become a user(?!) at either location]

[Normally Heart isn't one for the journals, but mode 3 her just remembered something important she ought to do and... this was spawned. It might sound odd to anyone who isn't used to her on mode 3, but, well, here goes-]

Uh... err- Winry, Al, and ... Edward? Hey- Thanks for the hospitality, guys! I found a new place to stay the other day and I moved myself out. You uh- I don't mean to offend, y'hear? I just didn't want to impose longer and... such.

[This is referring to this thread. Presumably they noticed but what with mode 3 and mode 2 being the ones on this escape from the house, well... she didn't think to actually tell anyone she was moving out until just now]

Anything I can do fer ya' to make it up to you - that'd be awesome! Don't be strangers... Yeah.

[But as for the rest of the day, robogirlfriend will be hanging around Kat's Kradle. This isn't unusual, but hey... she lives here now (sorta) and is getting used to it all over again. Because she's in theory around Hanekoma mode 2 is the active one until she runs into anyone she knows so she's looking meeker than usual in some corner but do feel free to run into her besides that]

[Today, Luceti, there is an unfamiliar boy lurking around town. Technically, he has a place to go but... he's restless a little still so he's aimlessly lurking around the square. Not that he won't jump at the chance to see people he knows or to meet new people if they should wish to talk with him but... yeah. This fellow is just hanging around thw square, maybe sipping on a soda and generally looking tall, slightly pale, and handsome.

Please do walk by or harass him if you so please. You ~~might not~~ probably won't regret it

EDIT: ALSO! Important! Because Heart relies on visual recognition for users, if your character looks drastically different than normal (GendBend, radical age alteration (usually backwards honestly) changing species, etc) physically it is possible that Heart might not recognize them as a user or will need to re-add them. Also if your changed character becomes a use she won't recognize them when they're back to normal... not that I have a problem with doing either! Just for a forewarning you might need to go through the user-claims process twice.]

[Heart, well, she has been trying to do her best for the users since this tragedy started. That would mean anyone who has been paying any attention to her as probably seen that she's not eaten anything since this started. Nor drank anything; best to leave supplies for the people that need it after all. Or at least, programing dictates that she ought to as best she can figure out - really there isn't much she's programmed to do in a situation like this. She's not a disaster response robot or anything.

Thus, she's taken to wandering around the town, looking to see if there's anything she can help with over the last few days. However, today, she's come across something- odd. In glancing over the southernmost bridge in the village into the water she looks at her reflection and sees... Well, she's initially confused as to what it is but then the realization hits her that it's her.

Reflected in the water isn't her as she is now, but a reflection of something that should be impossible: a red haired and green little girl, two years old at best, smiling in the reflection back at her own impassive face. Heart isn't sure if she should be surprised or not so she just keeps staring and even does some experimental movement to see if the young phantom moves with her. When it does she keeps this up to see if it continues... and it does.

Now, anyone care to run across her while this happens? Or perhaps after as she sets into the river, despite the oddness of that, to see if there's any sort of projector in there]

[When Heart lands in town today there's a little dizzle over her head. It's a summer shower, nothing serious, but she can't help but recognize that this is different from where she had been not moments before, and where she had been for a while. The concept is interesting... teleportation? But she doesn't think too hard on it. In fact, she's surprised she can think that much at all. First things first, she does a scan of herself. The only physical distortions are that she seems to be in a... strange outfit. She doesn't immediately recognize it, but it doesn't seem to be damaging her, so she disregards it.

Next her internal scan... there's no errors in her programming as far as she can tell. Satisfied with that, she stands... only to feel something odd. She seems to be disoriented somehow. But that's- Reaching around her face she founds that the action of standing had caused her left ocular unit to fall out of her head. ...Well that's not good. Perhaps there was more physical damage than she anticipated? After all, her scanners weren't very good as compared to some other robots.

Thus, after walking a bit more towards town she takes a spot on the ground to look herself over. Upon a more detailed inspection she finds that aside from her ocular unit being dislodged (and the clamps in her "skull" damaged; she'll need to find someone to repair that...) there's signs of other tampering with her - thin lesions in her outer "skin" - but it's nothing which won't "heal" because of the regenerating fake tissue there. That's good.

tl;dr: Anyone who is walking around the the edge of town might encounter a tall girl in an outfit not unlike this one playing with her... eye. Her left eye which is dangling out of her head]

[The following note is written on her journal in penmanship just as mechanical as anyone who had seen her out of mode will recognize, but more importantly, it's not perfect. There's a flaw in it here or there. She can't normally address everyone like this, but, well...]

[And then, well, she's gone. The journal might catch a brief glimpse of her with a bland expression but a bit of a frown too. Naturally, there's no blood or anything... or much of a mess beyond her room in Winry's place having the window broken seeing as how she tried to jump out that way]

[Since Heart moved in with Winry her days have improved. A sweet friend who was nice and all that, and a chance to see other friends. It's raining again today, which is why she - with the new umbrella that she has now - is walking to the square in town. Well, not quite the square - she's going to Azzip in some hopes of getting a pizza. As soon as she steps in, however, she experiences something odd.

The interior of Azzip seems to be making sounds familiar to her. And what's more, there's flashes of light and such which... but no, where she did that is nowhere near her. She blinks once before turning to head somewhere else. Maybe get some coffee at Kat's Kradle (i-iyan~) or something? Yeah.

Thing is, she feels like she sees something in the window as she goes. She turns, and it's not there. She shrugs, going over her memory-records... Nothing. She is content with that and thus heads off to Kat's Kradle. After that maybe she'll go shopping? Not like this rain is too hard or anything.

That said anyone can see her particular echo (I asked the mods): in the windows of anywhere near Heart will be displaying her own code in binary (see here for an example) or C++ (here) or a myriad of of other languages ~~mostly because I can't decide what she was written in shh~~, but when you try to get a closer look it'll vanish. Feel free to run into her on the way to anywhere or in anywhere and all that]

[Heart has been staying at House #23 (Winry/Alphonse/Selim/Edward) for a while now. Winry asked her to come after Lilly disappeared. She didn't have much more to bring over or anything, so she's just been hanging around her. As mode 3 has been active most of the time she's been in high enough spirits, but she's not sure how to repay them. She was considering going shopping today, but... well, it's raining.

With a sigh, she sits down on the porch of the house, looking up at the sky.]

This totally sucks.

[Anyone and everyone is free to run into her on said porch, of course. She's not sure what to do with herself seeing as how she can't exercise or anything like this, so she's settle to eating an apple here and staring up at the sky. Jeez, she feels so useless right now, siiigh]

[Action/Voice]

[Heart is up today. Well, more like she doesn't sleep period, but whatever. Thus, this morning she opens up the door to Lilly's room in the apartment as she usually does to tell the girl that she ~~got up before Guilt-na on purpose to make~~ made breakfast for her. But then, well, Lilly isn't there. For some while, Heart furiously searches everywhere in the apartment and then around town for the girl, but doesn't find her. After that, however, she opens up her book and activates the voice option]

Hu~go~ Gui~lt~na~ [Both of those are in a sing-song voice] have either of you seen my darling Lilly? Have any of the other of you seen her, I wonder? [This voice, while upset, also sounds something like... detached playful. Almost like a cat going for a mouse] I walked into her room and all her possessions are gone, but she wouldn't just leave me, right? After all, we had something special, right? [And then a little giggle before she slams the book shut.]

[When Heart isn't busy doing other things such as ~~stalking~~ doting on Lilly or breaking into Red's house or whatever, he preferred hang-out spot has become Kat's Kradle, mostly so that she can ~~oogle~~ be around the ~~very handsome...~~ manager. She's too shy to actually strike up conversation, of course. But... Um. She should do something to repay how often she comes here, right?

Like right now, she's sitting in here with coffee but looking otherwise awkward. Ever since she came here with Kiyo, that is. ...Um. Thinking about Kiyo gives her some of mode 4's balls, and thus she opens her journal and pens in the following:]

Does anyone know a gift which is ~~appropriate~~ good ~~pre-~~ thank you gift for a ~~hand-~~ ~~nic-~~ helpful ~~olde-~~ gentleman?

[She sighs. That was hard. She looks at her coffee after she finishes writing that, somewhat flustered in spite of herself. Anyone is free to respond to that or run into her in KK, of course. Users or non-users. There is a chance you might end up on someone else's file though ~~I want more people like that sob~~]

[Heart is up and at'em today! She left a note in the house for Lilly-

(reading: "I'm so sorry my dearest Lilly~ I need to be away today! I prepared three meals for you which are in the fridge. ♥ Just heat them up and you can have the crystalization of- Oh! I hope you like them...

And then set out for her various tasks today. First things first, she headed out to the shop in the morning and gathered up what she needed at the shop! And apron, some eggs, some other stuff, and a small thing of pots and pans that she all put in a box which she then carries to House 33, just in time for that she hopes will be a late breakfast maybe early lunch around about eleven AM. And once there... she knocks on the door! But then after a moment of no one answering she just tries the handle.]

Oh, well I'll be...

[The door is unlocked, so she heads on inside and heads to the kitchen. Once there she sets down all her stuff, starts up the stove, and sets off to making some eggs and ham for starters. Lalala...

Either way, after she leaves there later in the day she arranges something else outside for House 25! Or rather, more like she goes there in the evening after briefly stopping back home to make something special. Which she has in a decent sized white box. At House 25, however, she actually knocks.

Naturally, you can also run into her at any other point during these two important errands]

[Today is an overcast day, which is better than the rainy days over Sunday and Monday at least. Heart, who lives outside basically aside from a little corner of the item shop she's claimed as a temp-home, wishes there were more sun, but it's okay as is. What she is doing however, is currently shopping for Adell... Which means she's in mode 3 while searching. Of course, if anyone were to run into her she would change modes, but as it is, she's trying to pick out a birthday gift for him in the item shop and it's not working very well.

She itches her head regularly as if a bit lost.] Sheesha, I don't even know what the guy wants... [And other such quotes like this are common.

She's also tossing items which don't fit the bill on the ground after examining them. So if you want to run into a relatively tall ~~dating robot~~ girl who is ransacking the item shop, do feel free]

[Heart hasn't found a home yet, mostly because she's not sure she needs to and partially because no one has really invited her to live with them or anything. Thus, she's been living outside the village with her clothes that she picked up with her friends the other day stored away in the main item shop.

Which is where she is making it back to this morning, haven fallen "asleep" (simulated sleep, that is) outside and out of the square. Naturally, by the time she makes it back she is soaking wet, but well, she's okay. She just needs to change though... oh well. She'll do that in a corner of the building.

Anyone is free to run into her at any course during this affair.

Once she's done though, she picks up the journal which had been near her when she woke up the first time with wings. She's not sure what to do with it, honestly. After all, it doesn't seem like something she should be using. But all the same, she hears voices from it sometimes and she can't help but be curious... After looking around the store for a pen, she opens the book and then-]

[Heart's awakening in Luceti happened sometime around noon today. She woke up behind on of the buildings near the square, and upon awakening the relatively tall robot girl found herself rather... perplexed. For one, she distinctly recalled being told they were going to deactivate her and she clearly was not deactivated if she felt responsive now. For two, there was something off with her outer frame; it had been changed. Two extra appendages on her back...

Hmm.

Either way, the change in her clothing or setting didn't alarm her that much. While this certainly was not the Mansion, nor the facility where he earliest tests have been done, she was used to being awoken after a shut down in strange places by now. This white sundress was even a little cute. Thus, with a slight smile on her face, she began her observation of the square, curious about it.

When she noticed that everyone else here also had these strange appendages on their backs - wings - she was confused at first, but then eventually concluded the simplest answer: humanity must have changed since she was last shut down. Thus, as she sat down on a bench in the square, she began to go through the motions - though she had no control over it, it was merely her systems compensating for this new observation as well as her own physical changes - to rewrite her internal definition of human to include the wings.

Give her a good half hour to do that and she's back on her feet! This girl would have been completely unresponsive during that half hour, so maybe you saw her then. Maybe you saw her now! Point is, she's snooping around the square but not talking to anyone while in a new feather outfit. Plus, well, she can't talk to anyone until spoken too. Please do feel free to run into her.]
