[Action]

[Heart's awakening in Luceti happened sometime around noon today. She woke up behind on of the buildings near the square, and upon awakening the relatively tall robot girl found herself rather... perplexed. For one, she distinctly recalled being told they were going to deactivate her and she clearly was not deactivated if she felt responsive now. For two, there was something off with her outer frame; it had been changed. Two extra appendages on her back...

Hmm.

Either way, the change in her clothing or setting didn't alarm her that much. While this certainly was not the Mansion, nor the facility where he earliest tests have been done, she was used to being awoken after a shut down in strange places by now. This white sundress was even a little cute. Thus, with a slight smile on her face, she began her observation of the square, curious about it.

When she noticed that everyone else here also had these strange appendages on their backs - wings - she was confused at first, but then eventually concluded the simplest answer: humanity must have changed since she was last shut down. Thus, as she sat down on a bench in the square, she began to go through the motions - though she had no control over it, it was merely her systems compensating for this new observation as well as her own physical changes - to rewrite her internal definition of human to include the wings.

Give her a good half hour to do that and she's back on her feet! This girl would have been completely unresponsive during that half hour, so maybe you saw her then. Maybe you saw her now! Point is, she's snooping around the square but not talking to anyone while in a new feather outfit. Plus, well, she can't talk to anyone until spoken too. Please do feel free to run into her.]

[...Ding! Well no ding but more of just an odd glint in her eyes before she moves on the next question now that she's confirmed it. The tone is flat, but somehow eager still:] Do you want to be loved?

[That question is a lot stranger, and a lot more probing... but Shirley's willing to answer it because, again, this girl is a New Feather. Maybe it's a more common question from her world?...]

W-well, I -- ... yes. That's something everyone wants, isn't it?...

[SCORE! The tone is still flat as she asks the next part, but she does seem to be a little excited all things considered:] Pick my personality; one, two, three, four, five, or six?

Your... personality? Er... [This conversation has turned so weird so fast.] ... four?

[And thus the third four in this post. Heart processes this and... ding. Okay she smiles this time and laughs a little to herself-] My, you're a cute one, aren't you? My name's Heart, but you can call me whatever you like. Any chance I can get yours?

[I was torn between three and four, actually; however, a coinflip said 4. Anyway, the sudden expression change and the compliment leave her a little flustered; Shirley smiles nervously in return.]

Heart?... that's a pretty name... um. My name is Shirley...

Gotta say, I think your's is prettier, all things considered. [She smiles and puts a hand on her chest before continuing] It feels more classic and pure in a way...

... you really think so? Er, well... thank you. [But since the conversation has really gotten derailed, she'll try to nudge it back in that direction.] So, um... is this your first time in Luceti?

No problem~ [But considering that second part she blinks a bit before crossing her arms and-] I guess that's probably how it is. I mean I've never heard the word "Luceti" until just now; it's a bit hard to have been somewhere and not known the name of it.

[Shirley nods, and looks sympathetic; it sucks, being a New Feather.] Nobody does, when they first arrive... Luceti is the name of this world. It pulls people from all sorts of worlds to itself.

Pulls people from all sorts of worlds huh? [She pauses before smirking just a little and then... poking Shirley on the face lightly. She doesn't know what to make of the situation seriously, so she makes a joke in the form of-] That almost makes it sound like fate, doesn't it Shirl?

[prayingone]

[The facepoke and the sudden nickname causes Shirley to pause for a moment: for a moment, she's almost painfully reminded of Norma... and how she hasn't seen her friend for a long time. But it's a quick moment, and Shirley mentally shakes the nostalgia off to continue the conversation.]

Fate? Well, I suppose you could think of it like that...

[Hmm... Heart brings her finger back to her face and taps it on her own cheek] I'm not sure though, "fate" should be a little more glamorous than this, don't you think? After all, these wings look like they might get pretty messy.

[prayingone]

They can, if you don't take care of them... but it's not hard, when you get used to it. [Here, her voice turns serious:] But you need to be very careful; if you lose too many feathers, you can get sick... and losing your wings will kill you.

[Sick? Oh that's no good at all. A hand briefly covers her mouth before...] And I don't even have anyone to watch me if it came to that... I might want to avoid it in that case.

[prayingone]

It's best, if you can... but we have a clinic and a pharmacy here, that's open around the clock if you ever get sick. [There's a pause, as Shirley contemplates the best way to show Heart where those buildings would be.] Have you found a book with your name on it, yet?

And here I was hoping for a nice, cute personal nurse... [An over-dramatic sigh later Heart shrugs and then thinks. It's got all of two seconds before-] Oh, yeah. I had on earlier.

[Shirley sets her bags down, and holds a hand out.]

If you still have it, may I see it? If you do, I can show you the Guide... it has maps of the village and information about Luceti in it.

[Whoa, so helpful. She puts on an apologetic face-] Sorry, sorry. I don't have it on me right now, I left it where I woke up a while ago.

[prayingone]

Ah, that's too bad... [Shirley absently makes a thoughtful noise, as she considers their options; she doesn't want to leave Heart without her journal, considering how important they are to Luceti's day-to-day life.] Well, we could go back and get it... or, if you would rather, I can just show you the Guide using my journal.

[After she says that, Shirley gestures to a small bag (that would probably register as a purse to Heart) that she is wearing over her shoulder; it's the one that Fenimore made her for her birthday, and she uses it to carry her journal with her wherever she goes without fear of the voice option accidentally turning on.]

[Purse- A cute purse, at that. She makes a vague noise of approval but doesn't say anything about it just yet in favor of waiting on Shirley to show her this "Guide." After all, it might be better if she knows what's on the up and up, right?]

[Taking Heart's silence for agreement on the latter, Shirley reaches into her bag and pulls out her journal. She flips it open to a page she's marked with a bookmark; Raine's Guide. She offers the journal to Heart to read.]

There's a lot to read, but... it's all very important to know.

[And she glances - well looks, I guess - at each page for about... three seconds. She's saving it in her memory so that she might read it later. When she flips through every page she turns back up to Shirley and smiles] Thanks. This is a lot of words and a lot of take in; do you mind if I read it in detail a bit later~? I might need to think about it.

[Not being a robot, Shirley thinks that Heart is just flipping through the Guide; it's too much to read all at once, so she just nods.]

Of course... you can find it in all of the journals, at around page [blahblah, this is where you find the Guide].

[So helpful. Still, once Shirley's done she shakes her head-] Are you this helpful to everyone you meet, or was it just love at first sight?
