[Since Heart moved in with Winry her days have improved. A sweet friend who was nice and all that, and a chance to see other friends. It's raining again today, which is why she - with the new umbrella that she has now - is walking to the square in town. Well, not quite the square - she's going to Azzip in some hopes of getting a pizza. As soon as she steps in, however, she experiences something odd.

The interior of Azzip seems to be making sounds familiar to her. And what's more, there's flashes of light and such which... but no, where she did that is nowhere near her. She blinks once before turning to head somewhere else. Maybe get some coffee at Kat's Kradle (i-iyan~) or something? Yeah.

Thing is, she feels like she sees something in the window as she goes. She turns, and it's not there. She shrugs, going over her memory-records... Nothing. She is content with that and thus heads off to Kat's Kradle. After that maybe she'll go shopping? Not like this rain is too hard or anything.

That said anyone can see her particular echo (I asked the mods): in the windows of anywhere near Heart will be displaying her own code in binary (see here for an example) or C++ (here) or a myriad of of other languages mostly because I can't decide what she was written in shh, but when you try to get a closer look it'll vanish. Feel free to run into her on the way to anywhere or in anywhere and all that]

Well, I originally came for some lunch, but then I just decided to keep looking around. [Hmm. Okay, adjusting umbrella position to try to get both of them under it - there]

[He shrugs.] It's not a big deal. It's just extra sandwich or two.

[Now that they're in the store, he has a basket he's filling up with various food items.]

Yeah, but no offense, I don't think you'd make it right. Sandwiches are a very delicate process, you know. It took a long time to learn how to make them from Elisa.

[He grabs a whole bunch of sodas. More than he can carry.]

Give me a try, I might surprise you if you let me. [And that's no good at all. She moves in over-]

Eh. Maybe you could help make them, I guess. If it's that big a deal.

[Oh sure, if she's coming with him, he can bring even MORE stuff home. So he'll load her up with stuff as he goes. Meat, cheese, some kind of curious sauce, jalapenos, tomatoes, cucumbers, a suspiciously shaped vegetable he's never tried before, some more meat, a container of peanuts, various fruits, an unusually shaped loaf of bread, a carton of orange juice, some more meat, and a can of tuna fish. Which should have them both up to their ears in food.]

[Heart, meanwhile, initially didn't have a basket... nor a bag. In fact, she still had the umbrella on hand. As Sokka hands her more and more stuff she manages to get herself a bag from one of the counters there and put some stuff in there. She slings it over one arm. Lack of feeling pain makes up for an apparent lack of strength because this would be digging into any normal person's arm man.

But once they're done she's still smiling]

You and your friends have a big appetite, seems like.

Huh? [...] Oh, no! Most of this stuff is for me. [He nods at the sodas.] And those are for Toph.

[After throwing what he can in his basket, he uses an empty counter space to throw the rest of his stuff into bags.] Ready to go?

[...For him-? Heart should be shocked but she just finds herself thinking "well he is a growing boy" and then giggling in spite of herself. So cute!

But at that second bit she nods] More than ready. I'm eager to meet your friends.

[He'll lead the way! Over the hills and through the woods and into his house, leading her on in.]

Hey, I'm home. [... if anyone else is. He doesn't know.]

[The day after the camping trip? Means that there are so many chores that have piled up.]

Hey! I'm doing laundry!

[Comes a voice from by wherever the laundry machines are.]

[Heart follows Sokka in, a pleasant style on her face. But hearing that-] Do you think she needs help?

[Sokka shrugs.]

She'll be fine. [As he sets the food on he table, he calls out.] Hey! Katara! I brought a friend!

OK, I'll be right out!

[And so, finishing up the load of laundry, Katara emerges with a pleasant smile on her face. Her eyes widen a little when she sees Heart - this is someone new.]

Oh, hello! I don't think we've met before. I'm Katara.

No, I don't think we have. I'm Heart. [And she even curtsies a little for Katara. Sweetly and all that]

[Sokka is already getting started on sandwiches.]

Heart lives with Winry. She let me use her umbrella.

[...a curtsy. Okaaay. Well, still. A smile.]

That was very nice of you, Heart. Thank you.

It was no problem. Sokka needs a little helping hand now and then, I think.

[She pauses and then looks around a bit before-]

Speaking of, I heard you're doing laundry, need any help with that?

[markofthewise]

[Wait, what? Why is she talking about him like he's a little kid? And offering to do laundry?]

Uh. I think we can manage, Heart...

[Yeah, Sokka just... has that affect on people. And by 'people' she means 'girls,' so Katara doesn't really find anything too strange in Heart's attitude towards Sokka. The laundry is a little bit odd - but she figures that the girl is just helpful.]

No, that's all right. This place has machines for laundry - it's really amazing! It saves me a ton of time. Did they have stuff like that in your world, Heart?

[Because she'll totally take you on a tour of the appliances if not, not having to do all the laundry in the house by hand is really super awesome!]

Oh dear, of course we do. I'm going to take it that you guys don't back where you're from? [She frowns a bit before tapping a finger on her cheek] Gosh, that does sound difficult to handle, particularly if you have take care of him.

[Complete with a slightly affectionate little head nod at Sokka - she means to do it discreetly but it doesn't work that well]
